Hello Kingsmen Family,
As we approach the end of 2014 I want to say thank you to all the players and parents involved with Rex Putnam Football. You support is appreciated by many!
The winter sports season is off to a very exciting start. We have nearly 30 football players from the program involved in winter sports. We also have two football coaches involved as well. Coach Tele is our head wrestling coach and Coach Oliver is our head girls basketball coach.
We have also opened the weight room on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday’s. We start at 3:30pm and go no later than 5pm. There is an activity bus that can take students home on Tuesday and Thursdays. No Excuse to not be here at least twice per week. We will be off for the break and when we come back we will get after it – We need all non-winter sport athletes to attend.
Along with a solid group that has been lifting with me after school, there is another large group of football players working out at the same time with baseball. It’s exciting to see our student athletes involved and doing so much!
Lastly, if your student athlete is struggling there is free after school tutoring on Tuesday and Thursdays. Again, the activity bus is available. Many teachers stay on those days since kids have a free ride home on those days. Please take advantage of it if needed!
